Artificial Intelligence and our Future
Artificial Intelligence sounds like a weird term at first, like how can intelligence be artificial? Is it even possible?
When I first heard about this term, I was like, Intelligence is not a thing, it's more of a concept, and how can a concept be Natural or Artificial at all? But to my surprise, it was a thing, a very real thing (even though it's called artificial).
Machines or Computers are trained like humans to make them think and reason like Human Beings. It's as Scary as Fascinating it sounds because we don't know how intelligent those machines and computers would become in the future. As long as we are controlling those computers and robots, the world is a beautiful and convenient place to live in. But what if they start controlling us? Things are going to get ugly for sure. And trust me, I am not against the advancement in Technology. But one can not deny the possibility that these artificially intelligent beings can try and succeed to control us and take over the world. And if they manage to overpower us, there is a fair chance that they'll try to eradicate the entire Human population from Earth.
I mean haven't you seen those Sci-Fi movies? Those are not just for entertainment purpose, they also serve as a warning that we should not get carried away with this concept of 'Human-like Computers'.
But if we try and see this in a positive light, maybe this IS the future. The future we all are looking forward to witnessing, a future with flying cars, and Robot servants. A future where the only thing human beings would do is enjoy their life. A future where we'll be surrounded by machines and computers to do our work without our help. A future where our surroundings will be clean because we wouldn't be needing humans to do that anymore. A future where there wouldn't be any room for mistakes because computers are not humans, they do their job with accuracy and efficiency.
But on the other hand, if robots start doing our work, what will we do? More importantly, how will we Earn? If we'll start using Computers or Robots for our day to day work, who will appoint humans then? We are already so much dependent on Technology, don't who think a future like this will make us Handicap? In other words, we won't be able to do anything on our own. Artificial Intelligence has advantages and disadvantage in equal proportion. There is at least one benefit for every disadvantage and at least one negative for every advantage.
